November 25th, 2025 Lily Matth ey Today, I went to Fingerprints records in Bixby Knoals (the new location, I haven't visited since they moved. It's ok.) I purchased an IP grab bag for y dollars and 49 cents. Five miscelanious vinyl records are now my property. I'm working my way through them presently. The first 1 listened to was Freddy Fender's "Before the Next Teardrop Falls." I enjoyed reading the storied back cover more than I cared for the music. I like that guy, though. Seems chill. Next, I list ened to the first track from The New Seeker's "Come Softly to Me." It was just about the cheesiest thing my ears have ever be-holded. Beheld? Eh. I will be giving this vinyl to a friend w whom I think will enjoy it far more than I would. Next, I played side one from "From Another World," an easy-listening orchestral compilation from the 50s, conducted by sid Bass. It"s my personal favorite out of the bunch th us far. The back cover was a review from Audio Magazine which essential-1y shit on all electronic music BESIDEs this album saying it's better than other electronic works which have "built a robot without a soul...generally there is one thing missing - music." I don't f**k with this guy. I mean, his perspective is certainly era appropriate. But c'mon. Now, I am listening to "The Fugitive" by Tony Banks, which I am thoroughly enjoying. The production is kinda prog, totally up my alley. I am loving the grab bag experience, this won't be the last time :)
